RSVP -- 35th Anniversary Volunteer Recognition Luncheon

On Thursday, May 4, 2006, we attended the 35th Anniversary Volunteer Recognition Luncheon at the Doubletree Hotel, Broad & Locust Streets, Philadelphia, PA. The RSVP/Philadelphia East honored volunteers and celebrated individuals and organizations that are part of the RSVP network.

Retired and Senior Volunteers Program (RSVP) is a nationwide program for adults 55 and older who can give at least two hours a week to volunteering. Administered locally by Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA), it partners with nonprofit organizations.

It was a blast!

Also, I won a door prize -- an authorized biography of Neil Armstrong by James R. Hansen, NASA historian, called FIRST MAN. It is a definitive biography of Neil Armstrong.
