Last week, we visited the cafe at 620 Chestnut Street, on the first floor of the Public Ledger Building (coincidentally, the Italian consulate is upstairs). The crew from Hausbrandt is (207 S. 15th Street) is behind Academia del Caffe, a mini-chain dishing Italian coffee, panini and salads.

They model themselves after cafes in Italy; they import all of their coffee and many of their products. The beverage menu includes: cappuccino, espresso, and latte. The cafe also offer pastries.

I highly recommend this cafe, especially the coffee.
