Dianne Reeves and Trio

On, Friday, February 2, 2007, we saw Dianne Reeves -pianist Peter Martin, bassist Reuben Rogers, and drummer Greg Hutchinson - and Trio (Jason Moran and the Bandwagon -- opening group) at the Kimmel Center's Verizon Hall. She is one of the pre-eminent jazz vocalists in the world today. Recently, she appeared and performed in George Clooney's Good Night, and Good Luck. The film chronicles Edward R. Morrow's confrontation with Senator Joseph McCarthy.

She covered a wide range of songs from an old R&B chestnut, "Just My Imagination," to a Sinatra standard, "One For My Baby."

She is a national treasure.

Capital Steps

On Saturday, September 27, 2007, we saw the Capital Steps at the Maple Point Middle School, Langhorne, PA.

If you would like a great laugh about the situation in Washington, the country and the world, politics and your "favorite" political leaders, don't miss Capitol Steps when they come to your area. Capitol Steps is totally irreverent but totally relevant and very funny.
