Clergy Day, May 17, 2007 --

As volunteers, we attended the annual spring Clergy Day, May 17, 2007, at the Holiday Inn on Presidential Blvd (just off City Line Avenue) in Philly. Clergy, lay leaders, persons who work or volunteer with older adults, and professionals in health and aging attended. The purpose of the event was to educate them about community and institutional long term care options and strategies to promote senior wellness. It included panel presentations and discussions.
I took a look at its new Web site at http://www.pcacares.org/ . I loved the home page. It is not a Web site for PCA services alone but an umbrella to many, many other community services, programs and activities for older Philadelphians, caregivers, and professionals. It includes a calendar of community events for individuals and professionals. It is a winner!
