Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter
Our heart goes out to the family of Steve Irwin, 44 going on 6, who was killed by a poisonous stingray in Australia on Monday, September 4, 2006, during a filming of a TV show off the Great Barrier Reef.
NOTE: Animal Planet will televise the memorial service for Steve Irwin at 9 p.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2006, from Irwin's Australia Zoo in Beerwah. The memorial will be held in the zoo's "Crocoseum" amphitheater. Irwin's widow, Terri said he would have wanted the service held there. She and the couple's daughter Bindi, 8, are to speak at the memorial.
Irwin will be missed.
